BERHAMPUR: Rajya Sabha member Renubala Pradhan has urged the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) to set up four more Central schools in Ganjam district. The BJD MP has proposed the establishment of these schools at Berhampur, Chhatrapur, Bhismagiri and Hinjili. At present, there are five such schools at Berhampur, Bhanjanagar, Aska, Digapahandi and Gopalpur (on the Army Air Defence College premises) in the district. Out of these, three schools (Aska, Bhanjanagar and Digapahandi) were set up last year. "The rush to take admission in these schools is very high. So there is a need to set up at least four more Kendriya Vidyalayas in the district," she said. She added that she had already written a letter to the KVS authorities in this regard. The district administration has already conducted a survey for setting up KVs at Hinjili and Chhatrapur. Renubala urged the administration to survey the other two places, Berhampur and Bhismagiri.
