The Eighth Ganjam District Book Fair-2013 will be held at
the Khallikote College Stadium, Berhampur from December 18 to 29. Book Fair
Committee founding secretary Bhavani Sankar Panigrahi said a detail blueprint
for organizing different social, academic, literary and cultural activities
during these 12 days has been prepared. Odisha Sahitya Academy Secretary Dr
Bijay Nayak would inaugurate the fair while well known literary figure Prof
Sudarshan Acharya would be chief Guest and Brahmapur Sub-Collector Bijay Das
the guest of honour on the inaugural day.
The programme of Saraswat Samaroha would be organised by the
Brahmapur Sahitya Ghar on December 19 and that of Sanskrutika Bichitra
Parivesan by the Baramasi Sahitya Sansad on December 20. The other programmes
include Sahitya Aashar by the Ganjam Zilla Pustak Mela Samiti (December 21);
Sahitya Aashar by the Ganjam Zilla Lekhika Sansad (December 22); seminar on
Sampratika Sahityara Diga O’ Diganta (December 23); workshop on Security and
Ganjam Tourism (December 24); cultural discussion Nupur (December 25); Musical
Circle on (December 26); Sanskrutika Bichitra Paribeshan (December 27); and
multilingual poem recitation (December 28).
The closing ceremony on December 29 would have Congress
Chief Whip in Assembly Prasad Harichandan as the chief guest and Ganjam Additional
Collector Dr Lingaraj Rath and BMC Commissioner Dr Ajit Mishra as guests of
