Cent percent result glory for Berhampur School

For the fifth year in a row, Saraswati Vidya Mandira at Nilakantha Nagar, Berhampur has achieved a rare distinction in Plus II with all of its students in science and commerce streams passing the examination.

Two hundred and sixty-two students from the school appeared the examination in science steam and 62 in commerce stream. While all of them passed, 257 science students and 46 commerce students got first division. "The dedication of our teachers, discipline in the college, systematic teaching and above all the guidance from the school management made it possible," principal S Mohan Rao said. The school is managed by Sikshay Vikash Samiti and has hostel facility for students. Besides teaching in the classes, the lecturers were also guided the students in the hostels. "All credit goes to our teachers, who guided us not only in classrooms, but also in hostels," said Abhishek Sahu, a student who achieved around 90% marks. While the primary section of the school was established 30 years back, the Plus II college was set up in 2007.
