It is interesting that there is not a single town from South Odisha which has PIU of NHAI. I don't understand why the shifting is being ordered because Berhampur is touched by three national highways and very well deserves an office. However, even if we lament, the local politicians in Berhampur don't bother about these issues as they are more interested in college elections at present. The people and also the student community of Berhampur are never interested in these issues. The only people who are interested seem to be us who do live outside the state. The local people only sit in for agitations (everyday we understand from news there are agitations against Tata project, some power plant project near Chatrapur, and Titanium dioxide project). In this type of attitude, I don't see any industrialisation or some development in Berhampur and its periphery in the near future.
